About

I've been a musician all my life — piano, composition, studio engineering — which means two decades spent inside audio technology: recording chains, encoding, analog and digital signal paths. Later I went back to school and moved into software. I built prototypes as the lead developer of Desjardins' innovation lab, later became an architect at Deloitte after winning two innovation competitions, and today work in AI innovation at Ateko, backed by Bell Canada. STEM74 is what happens when that listening background meets machine learning — mostly self-taught, and still learning.

AudioProphet 1.0

Edge AI that listens where humans can't.

stem74 AUDIOPROPHET

Concept render

AudioProphet listens to industrial equipment in the ultrasonic range — frequencies far above human hearing — to catch problems while they're still small.

  • Hears what's invisible. Ultrasonic sensing picks up early mechanical wear and compressed-air leaks long before they're audible or costly.
  • Learns your equipment. Each unit trains on its own environment's normal sound signature — no manual thresholds, no labeled fault data.
  • Runs at the edge. Detection happens on-site, on purpose-built edge AI hardware — no cloud dependency, no data leaving the building unless you want it to.
  • Scales to a fleet. One sensor can watch multiple assets, and patterns learned in one place strengthen detection everywhere else.
  • Never misses a beat offline. Local-first storage queues everything and syncs when the network is back.
  • Notifies the right person, instantly. Units report into a central server, so a detected anomaly sends a text message straight to whoever's responsible for that site — no one has to be watching a dashboard.
